Technical Overview
The site was designed to be compliant to the XHTML-Transitional and CSS web standards as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). At this time, our pages validate to the XHTML-Transitional standard. In addition to this, we hope to meet Level Double-A Conformance to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. These guidelines outline standards to make content accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance to these Guidelines help make the Web more accessible to users with disabilities and benefit all users.
The website is built with a wide variety of open-source technologies. This includes FreeBSD, Apache, PHP, MySQL, Typo3 and ImageMagick. The use of these tools provides an extensible foundation that supports the ministries at St. Andrew the Apostle and expands our online and extended communities and ministries.
