These courses are offered for adults. They will meet the needs of three specific groups:
So you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built into a holy dwelling place of God in the Spirit. - Ephesians 2:19-22
Upcoming Adult Faith Formation Class Schedule through August 2008.
In Evangelization in the Modern World, Pope Paul VI said, “Evangelization will never be possible without the action of the Holy Spirit.” He goes on to speak of the necessity of a spirituality that is, “rooted in a double fidelity: we must be faithful to the Gospel and faithful to the men and women to whom the Gospel is addressed.” This course will examine the meaning of spirituality, how we nurture our spirituality, and how we fulfill the double fidelity that Pope Paul VI speaks about.
The vision and mission of the Catholic Church will be explored along with the significance of the Second Vatican Council, especially how it applies to living the Catholic faith in the 21st century. We will also examine the role of the laity and our baptismal call to share the faith with others in community.
