Spiritual Adoption...

The purposes of the Spiritual Adoption Program are as follows:

• It encourages parishes, families, individuals, and children to pray for all unborn babies; that they may be born healthy.
• It educates adults and children about the development of the pre-born child.
• It provides mothers in need with assistance at a "baby shower" of donated baby gifts, or simply celebrates with a "birthday party" at the conclusion of the program.

What to do:

• Print and fill out the Spiritual Adoption Card we have provided for you.
• Pledge to pray for nine months of an unborn baby. 
• During each month, the "spiritual parents" are given information about their baby's development in the womb.
• Some participants find it helpful to name "their child" because it helps to keep them focused on the reality that their prayers are helping to save a particular baby from any harm.  
• At the end of the 9 months, St. Andrews will be throwing a "baby shower" in which you are welcome to come participate in! We will be collecting items needed by mothers for their babies while celebrating with cake and beverages! Keep your eyes peeled here for the upcoming date to be announced!
