The African Conference of Catholic Clergy and Religious in the United States (ACCCRUS) is a national association of Priests and Religious nuns and brothers hailing from Africa, but working the United States of America. It was established on the recommendation of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). Historically, however, the national gatherings of African priests and religious women grew out of the initiatives from the Office for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Refugees (PCMR). PCMR is one of the three divisions in the Migration and Refugee Services (MRS) of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).

June Financial Update - Jul 21/22

This weekend I will be preaching at all the Masses giving an update on our Sanctuary Renovations, which began a year ago in July. Also in this article, I will give you a summary for the month of June but before I do so, I would like you to know that next month, we are officially beginning to offer Religious Education for our precious children with special needs. This decision and program is formed by our encounters with “stressed” parents over the last two years who desire to have their children attend Religious Education, but have nowhere to turn for help.

Meet the Administrative Staff of Our Parish

In explaining my role as your Pastor last week, I quoted Canon 519, of the code of Canon Law, and went on to point out that my primary role as your Pastor, as I see it, is to get you all into heaven. I do this, by carrying out the functions of teaching, sanctifying, and governing as stipulated by the said code referenced above. I also acknowledged that I cannot perform these responsibilities alone; that is why I delegate some of these roles to members of our Pastoral Staff, as well as the Administrative Staff, who all do an amazing job here at our parish. I would like to take this opportunity, in this article, to point out who your Administrative Staff are, as I did with the Pastoral Staff (Admins’ supervisors).
