Taste, See, Smell, Hear…..the World!

02-24-2019Weekly Bulletin LetterFr. Robert Seraph Aliunzi, AJ

As I was figuring out what to write for this weekend’s bulletin, Fr. Teilo suggested that I write about the forthcoming multicultural event that we are preparing to host next Sat, Mar 2, at 5:00pm. And, as I reflected further, it occurred to me that there couldn’t be a more befitting title for this article than the one we coined for marketing this event which is: Taste, See, Smell, Hear…..the World! These sensory qualities used are significant because they are the gateway to introducing us into the knowledge and understanding of the realities and world around us.

February 24: Faith Sharing

02-24-2019Weekly Reflection

Adults/Teens: In the today's Gospel reading, Jesus challenges us to love those that mistreat us, even to love our enemies. To say this teaching is easier said than done is a drastic understatement! We of ten find it difficult to tolerate those we disagree with, let alone love those that oppose us outright. And yet, this is exactly Jesus' commandment. He tells us that the measure which we use in pouring out our love to others is the measure that will be returned.

February 17: Faith Sharing

02-17-2019Weekly Reflection

"The blessings and woes we hear in today's Gospel mark the perfection of all the wisdom of the Old Testament.

That wisdom is summed up with marvelous symmetry in today's First Reading and Psalm: Each declares that the righteous—those who hope in the Lord and delight in His Law—will prosper like a tree planted near living waters. The wicked, who put their "trust in human beings," are cursed to wither and die.

Updates from My Vacation and Prayers for the Apostles of Jesus

02-17-2019Weekly Bulletin LetterFr. Robert Seraph Aliunzi, AJ

I returned from my vacation with my family, relatives, and friends a little over a week ago. Reflecting on my time in Uganda, I must say I have a lot to thank God for due to the events that happened while I was there. First, I thank you all for the blessings you gave me before my trip, which I can attributeto the success of my vacation, despite the very challenging situations I encountered. My trip was safe and needless to say, my vacation has been eventful.

Evangelization: The Heart of Stewardship Part 2

02-03-2019Weekly Bulletin LetterBill Marcotte

“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1 Peter 4:10 All that we have is a gift from God. Including our very life and, of course, our Catholic faith! Personally, I am so very grateful that our Lord called me to know, to love, and to serve Him; and to do so here at St. Andrew. We are so blessed with a wonderful faith-filled community!
