Mother's Lifeline is an active outreach ministry designed to meet the needs of mothers of infants and toddlers in crisis situations.
Our mission is to be part of a community support network for mothers of limited economic means. We aim to utilize the gifts, talents and skills of our faith community to give support and assistance to mothers and their young children.
Gifts for Baby Jesus
The annual Gifts for Baby Jesus was once again held during the Christmas Eve masses and many donations of diapers, wipes, shampoo, and other small items that mothers need for a young infant were received.
2009 Recap
During 2009, more than 100 mothers and families were assisted through Mother's Lifeline and we provided 15 cribs or bassinettes, 13 carseats, 6 strollers, 3 high chairs, 1 swing, and 3 playpens plus over 150 packages of diapers accompanied by a like number of packages of diaper wipes and bottles of baby shampoo plus layettes and clothing.
Who Do We Help?
Referrals by Social Workers of hospitals and women's shelters, pregnancy hotlines, and word of mouth, create a great need for baby furniture, clothing, and related items. Because it is a community service, we provide support to all faiths and parishes. Our distribution area is generally limited to the East Valley, Tempe, Chandler, Mesa and Gilbert.
