The St. Andrew Prayer Line is an active group of parishioners that pray for fellow parishioners, or their relatives and friends in need. There are no meetings. This is a ministry that can be done in your home, at work, in your car, wherever and whenever you pray.

All you need to do is call the Prayer Line phone number at 480.899.1990 x305 to retrieve the special intentions for the week, or if you prefer, have the intentions e-mailed to you. While you say your daily prayers, remember those for whom we have been asked to pray.

Prayer for Healing and Strength

Dear Lord,
Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus, who healed those who believed.
Amen.

Do You Have a Prayer Request?

Please contact the Parish Office by emailing Kathey Osenbau or calling 480.899.1990, Ext. 305, so that your prayer request can be posted to the website. The website is updated as needed. Only first names are used to maintain confidentiality. Most requests are kept on the prayer line for up to one month. Please update us via e-mail if the request should be removed or a status has changed

Prayer Requests for June/July 2010

The following prayer requests have been made by members of the Community of St. Andrew the Apostle.

Special Intentions of the Community:

  • Staff of St. Andrew's for continued blessings in their ministry work in the community
  • Prayer for St. Andrew's students studying in the Loyola Institute for Ministry Extension Program (LIMEX) program (Linda, Holly, Clairlyn, Liz, Audrey and Kathey)
  • Prayer for all who are involved in the devastating earthquake in Haiti! We also pray for the many medical and military personnel, missionaries, and search and rescue teams there to help.
  • Those listed in the book of intentions.
  • Peace in our hearts, our homes and our world.
  • Families undergoing change, especially divorce.
