The St. Andrew Finance Council is an advisory group. It is currently made up of seven (7) parishioners, plus others who take part in an ex-officio capacity (i.e., our Staff Accountant; the Chair of the Pastoral Council). Council members are appointed by the Pastor for 3-year terms. This group gives advice and insight to the Pastor and Pastoral Director, at each Council gathering, about annual parish budget matters, parish finances in general, real property, major special building and maintenance projects, campaign fundraisers, development issues, publication of an annual parish budget summary to the whole faith community, and the like. Another major responsibility of the Finance Council is to oversee and submit an annual 'parish budget report,' in July, to the Bishop of the Diocese of Phoenix and his Financial Affairs office.
The Finance Council meets monthly – from August to May – or more frequently when needed. Parishioners who are interested in the work of the Finance Council – or who wish to be considered for appointment to the Council – please make contact with the office.
