Meeting began at 7:00 PM with prayer and reflection.

Parish Transition Team

David Runyan Ministry leaders were asked to take the general information presented back to their respective ministry meetings and to solicit input from ministry participants 1) Activities to support Fr. Joe’s departure, 2) insight into what these ministries had for expectations of the new Pastor.

Ministry Round Table Issues

  • Adult Singles – Chris Doyle explained leadership transition in the ministry. Chris wanted to know more about Maggie’s Place and how the Adult Singles group could be the liaison between the shelter home and St. Andrew the Apostle – CFC.
  • Fledgling “new†Women’s Ministry was presented by Bobbie Lipman. Much work is needed – 1) review mission statement; 2) evaluate structure for leadership. This is an exciting new ministry with potential for strong growth.
  • SAMS – Amy Ortiz, Spirit Retreat in January was a success, which included a mass given by Fr. Joe. SAMS will be hosting the March 16th “Stations of the Cross.†The group is developing the “Giving Tree†activity as an opportunity for parishioners to contribute to Fr. Joe’s retirement.
  • Yesterday’s Kids, Eva Willis, would like to have access to the teen center to play movies – for a special “night at the movies†for the seniors.
  • Baptism – Leigh Emrick and Beth Berg would like to revive a practice to send one-year anniversary cards of the children’s baptism to the parents.
  • Yesterday Kid’s – Eva Willis suggested that their group might be able to accomplish this recurring task.
