Minutes: Meeting on January 8, 2007

The meeting was opened with Lectio Divina for next Sunday’s Gospel.

Team meetings - Reports

• Liturgy-Two new lead EME teens will be contacted to replace those not showing up.
• Sports-Flag football tournament was suggested and will be scheduled for mid Spring. This tournament will be for St. Andrew’s teens and will be co-ed.
• Communication- Reminder to sit together when Fr. Joe has the mass to facilitate the Our Father connection. They would like to sell T-shirts during café.com. Send info. Regarding events to them to communicate
• Fundraising- Date night is set with Tomaso’s for Feb. 17. We will offer free childcare to those needing it. We would like to schedule our Super Carwash for sometime in June.
• Hospitality- They will set up outreach and welcome table at the upcoming NET Night teen dance on Feb. 7. Proposed “lock-in†for leaders for 2/17
• Service-no report
• Social- no report
• Outreach- no report
• Net Night- A dance will be offered on the NET night, Feb. 7. Teens will do the announcements after all masses on Feb.27 & 28.

Mission Trip- We have decided to try to do our own mission trip so we have control over the time and the location. Rock will look into some possibilities maybe in Flagstaff.

San Diego- As suggested by a teens we offered the opportunity to keep the San Diego Surf Camp trip open and let teens pay their way as a parish fun trip. Teens did not show any interest in paying the cost that would incur.

Big Surf-We are confirmed to attend Big Surf on June 16 all day. This is open to the whole parish and we need to guarantee 100 participants to keep our low price which includes lunch and a pavilion.

New Members- Applications for new members  are out now and due by Feb 15th.

Date Night-YM fundraiser at Tomaso’s on Feb. 17. We will offer free childcare and Tomaso’s will contribute 25% of the meal cost to YM.

Leadership Standards- Barb spoke a little about behavior conduct in our sexuality, spiritual and daily lives. We will develop and honor code for our leaders.  Leaders need to behave in a manner that draws others to Christ by their words and actions.
