The Liturgical Dance Ministry enhances the spiritual faith of our community by celebrating the gift of prayer through movement. Our dancers range in age and experience. The junior group, ages 8-12, attend a summer dance camp where they learn some of the required choreographies. Rehearsals for the senior group, 13-adult, are required and scheduled on Sunday afternoons.
Liturgical Dance Ministry Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a commitment to the ministry and to St. Andrew’s .
- Attend rehearsals.
- Learn the dances and celebrate with confidence.
- Sign up to dance at the scheduled Masses.
- Keep in contact with the ministry head.
- Make opportunities to improve on dance skills.
- Assist with rehearsals.
- Assist with contacting Junior dancers.
- Assist with dance dresses, candles, and other materials use by the ministry.
- Model spirituality both in the Mass celebration and out.
